Environmental education plays a vital role in our approach to coastal and marine management – inspiring connection, raising awareness, and shaping behaviours that help care for the coast.
Barwon Coast works alongside Wadawurrung Traditional Owners to ensure Wadawurrung voices and aspirations are supported by our work. We are committed to connecting people to Wadawurrung Country, because the more people understand about Sea Country, the more they can do to help keep Country healthy.
Barwon Coast offers free environmental education activities for early years services, schools and other groups in our local communities. Our activities are also available to school and tertiary groups staying in the caravan parks we manage. (hyperlink to CP info)
Activities typically run outdoors for one hour with groups of up to 25 participants, but we may be able to cater for larger groups by rotating with teacher-led activities.

This is Wadawurrung Country. We acknowledge the Wadawurrung People as the Traditional Owners of the land, waters, seas and skies of Ocean Grove, Barwon Heads, 13th Beach and Breamlea. We honour and say Nyatne to Elders past, present and future whose ancestors, for thousands of years, have cared for this part of Dja (Country). We are committed as an organisation to meaningfully work together with Traditional Owners to make Wadawurrung Culture and Country strong.
