Barwon River, Rotary Easter Duck Race – 19 April 2025

 

Date: Effective from 19 April 2025, 7.30am – 1.30pm

Details: Mariners are advised of the Easter Duck Race organised by Rotary that is being held on the Barwon River on 19 April 2025, 7.30am – 1.30pm.

Approximately 2000 plastic ducks will be released from the Barwon Heads pedestrian bridge and will float with the incoming tide down to Ozone Jetty. Ocean Grove Surf Life Saving Club will provide on water support with 3 x Inflatable Rescue Boats (IRB’s) to corral and retrieve the plastic ducks during and after the event.

Mariners are advised to exercise caution when navigating the Barwon River in the vicinity of this event and are encouraged not to transit this area during the event.
