Channel Safety Realignment – Stage 1

Barge Towage and Beacon Piling Operations – Barwon River Mouth – Completed

New Starboard Hand Beacon Installed

Date: Effective from 18 June 2024

Details:

Mariners are advised that barge towage and beacon piling operations in the Barwon Heads river mouth south of the Barwon Heads pedestrian bridge have now been completed.

A new Starboard Beacon has been installed in the following approximate position (WGS84) and the following light characteristics:

1.Starboard Buoy No.7 38°17.054’S 144°29.785’E Green (Fl.G.4s)
