LOCAL PORT OF BARWON HEADS

Barwon Heads – Barwon River Boating Channel-South of Barwon Heads

Channel Safety Realignment – Stage 1

Mariners are advised that two (2) new temporary lit Starboard Buoys and one (1) lit Port Starboard buoy have been placed south of the Barwon Heads pedestrian bridge in the Barwon River Boating Channel to provide a safer navigable route for all transiting vessels. Flash sequence has been changed to Fl.4s on all new temporary buoys listed below.

Temporary buoy approximate positions are as follows (WGS84):

  1. Starboard Buoy No.1      38°17.098’S     144°30.001′
  2. Starboard Buoy No.7     38°17.054’S     144°29.785’E
  3. Port Buoy No.2             38°17.111’S        144°29.997’E
