LOCAL PORT OF BARWON HEADS

Barwon Heads – Barwon River Boating Channel-South of Barwon Heads
Channel Safety Realignment – Stage 1

Date: Effective from 21 December 2023

Details:

Mariners are advised that one (1) new temporary lit Starboard Buoy and one (1) lit Port Starboard buoy have been moved into new positions south of the Barwon Heads pedestrian bridge in the Barwon River Boating Channel to provide a safer navigable route for all transiting vessels.

Temporary buoy approximate positions are as follows (WGS84):

  1. Starboard Buoy No.1          38°17.106’S       144°30.008’E
  2. Port Buoy No.2                 38°17.120’S        144°30.004’E
