LOCAL PORT OF BARWON HEADS
BARWON RIVER, Rotary Easter Duck Race
Date: Effective from 8 April 2023, 11.30am – 1.00pm
Details:
Mariners are advised of the Easter Duck Race organised by Rotary that is being held on the Barwon River on 8 April 2023 from 11.30am to 1.00pm.
Approximately 1500 plastic ducks will be released from Barwon Heads pedestrian bridge and will float with the incoming tide down to Ozone Jetty. Volunteers in small
motorised vessels, kayaks and canoes will assist with the corralling and retrieval of the plastic ducks during and after the event.

Mariners are advised to exercise caution when navigating the Barwon River in the vicinity of this event and are encouraged not to transit this area during the event.No further notice will be issued. This notice will be self-cancelling on 8 April 2023.

We honour and say Nyatne to Elders past, present and future whose ancestors, for thousands of years, have cared for this part of Dja (Country). We are committed as an organisation to meaningfully work together with Traditional Owners to make Wadawurrung Culture and Country strong.
