13th Beach Access Stairs Replacement Project

What’s Happening?
The beach access stairs at 13th Beach are being replaced as they are nearing the end of their functional life.
Along with this, minor upgrades to the car park will be carried out to improve safety, access, and overall aesthetics for beachgoers.
Why the Project?
This initiative aims to enhance the safety and convenience for beach users while protecting the surrounding environment from coastal processes.
When?
The project will begin in late October 2024 and is expected to be completed by mid-December 2024. During this period, the stairs will be closed, and there will be disruptions to car park and pathway access.
What to Expect
From October 28 through mid-December, access to the stairs and car park will be limited. Please plan accordingly as there will be some inconvenience during the construction phase.
