Barwon Coast is excited to announce the planned upgrade of the Breamlea Caravan Park playground, part of our commitment to improving visitor experiences at our parks.
This project delivers on a key action in the Caravan and Camping Parks Master Plan, which was shaped by community engagement and reflects shared priorities for enhancing our parks and campgrounds.
The current playground is ageing and no longer meets modern safety or accessibility standards. The new playground will be relocated next to the amenity block and BBQ area and will feature:

We are inviting feedback from campers and the wider community throughout July 2025.
All feedback will be considered when finalising the playground design, alongside operational considerations such as budget, timing, and scope.
Vegetation works
As part of the upgrade, three trees (one large, two small) will be removed for safety reasons, following independent arborist advice. To support biodiversity, at least seven new trees will be planted in the area managed by Barwon Coast.
