Changing Places facility update: internal fit-out and external works progress

The Changing Places facility at Main Beach, Ocean Grove, is progressing well, with the internal fit-out now nearing completion. A key feature is the newly installed hoist and track system, which will assist carers in safely transferring people with high needs.

Externally, the site has been prepared for the first stage of concreting works, taking place this week within the current worksite fence boundary. Landscaping works will also continue throughout the week.

Following this, the second stage of concreting will include a new pathway connection and replacement of a section of the existing pathway. These works have been carefully staged to minimise disruption for pedestrians and cyclists.

When the second stage begins, a section of the pathway will be temporarily closed and detours will be put in place. Further details and timing will be shared closer to the commencement of those works.
