Barwon Coast has a fantastic opportunity for those looking to gain paid work experience over the summer holidays. We are looking for Summer Coastal Rangers to join the Barwon Coast team for a five-week period from Monday 26th December until Friday 27th January 2023, three to four days a week (three days on / three days off), starting at 7am until 11.30am.
The team of Summer Coastal Rangers will support environmental programs on land managed by Barwon Coast (Collendena, Barwon Heads, 13th Beach and Breamlea) such as beach litter patrols, sand dune protection works and general maintenance tasks to care for the environment and help ensure the public open spaces are safe for all to enjoy.

About you
No previous work experience is required as the Summer Coastal Rangers will be mentored and supervised by our team of experienced Coastal Rangers. We are looking for people who will help us care for the coast and want to learn new skills.
To be successful in this role you will be someone who is enthusiastic, likes being outdoors and cares about the coastal environment. The role ideally suits someone who is reasonably fit and has the ability to walk along uneven ground, such as sand dunes. You will possess the qualities of honesty, integrity and reliability and have the ability to follow directions and work in a team environment.
