Barwon Coast’s winter low-season trial allowing dogs and campfires at select caravan park sites is now live.
The trial will run from Thursday 12 June to Friday 12 September 2025 across Barwon Heads, Riverview, and Breamlea Caravan Parks.
This initiative responds to years of community and camper feedback asking for more flexible camping experiences during the quieter winter months. The trial is limited to specific sites and includes strict rules to ensure the safety of all visitors, protect wildlife, and maintain the natural environment. Campfires are not permitted at Breamlea due to site sensitivities.
A feedback survey is now open for both campers and the wider community. Your views will help determine whether these options should continue into the future.
