New Beach Access Coming to Wedge Street

Published on 22 January 2025

Wedge St, Ocean Grove, Stairs requiring replacement

Work begins on February 4 on the replacement of the Wedge Street (Emergency Marker OGE079) beach access stairs in Ocean Grove. Approved by DEECA, this project will include a new structure with improved pathways, seating, and fencing to enhance safety and access for beach users. This upgrade addresses damage from tidal and storm events while minimising impacts on the surrounding coastal environment. The access point will be temporarily closed until the end of March 2025, with nearby beach access points remaining open.
